Plain-English summary of how FreeLCA handles your data during open beta.
What we collect
- Account info you provide: email, display name.
- Project data you enter: scenario names, design flows, driver values, calculation results.
- Standard server logs (timestamps, IP addresses, browser type) to debug errors and detect abuse.
- Anonymized usage analytics (Plausible) — page views, no personal identifiers, no third-party cookies.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't share your project data with anyone outside your organization.
- We don't use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
- We don't train AI models on your data.
How your data is protected
- All traffic is HTTPS / TLS.
- Multi-tenant Postgres with row-level security gates every data access to your org.
- Service-role keys are server-side only, never shipped to the browser.
Your rights
- Export your data anytime via the Excel export.
- Delete your account: contact us at the email below.
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
Reference data
TRACI, IPCC AR6, eGRID, and other reference data is sourced from public US government datasets that are themselves public-domain or open-license. We redistribute these in the tool to power calculations. Project results derived from these public factors are yours.
