Plain-English summary of how FreeLCA handles your data during open beta.

What we collect

  • Account info you provide: email, display name.
  • Project data you enter: scenario names, design flows, driver values, calculation results.
  • Standard server logs (timestamps, IP addresses, browser type) to debug errors and detect abuse.
  • Anonymized usage analytics (Plausible) — page views, no personal identifiers, no third-party cookies.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't share your project data with anyone outside your organization.
  • We don't use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
  • We don't train AI models on your data.

How your data is protected

  • All traffic is HTTPS / TLS.
  • Multi-tenant Postgres with row-level security gates every data access to your org.
  • Service-role keys are server-side only, never shipped to the browser.

Your rights

  • Export your data anytime via the Excel export.
  • Delete your account: contact us at the email below.
  • Request a copy of all data we hold about you.

Reference data

TRACI, IPCC AR6, eGRID, and other reference data is sourced from public US government datasets that are themselves public-domain or open-license. We redistribute these in the tool to power calculations. Project results derived from these public factors are yours.
